I've been a reporter, a Navy officer, an editor, a college professor and a psychotherapist. More than all of those, though, I'm a reader, and a writer. I can't remember when I couldn't read, and probably started writing as soon as I could hold a pencil. I recently resigned as editor of The Internet Review of Books, which you should take a look at.
On this site are stories of mine, some published, some not; a few personal essays; a short biography and a truncated resume, and some family history. If you pass by and take a look, please sign the guestbook below, or send an e-mail, and let me know what you think of the place.
