I've been a reporter, a Navy officer, an editor, a college professor and a psychotherapist. More than all of those, though, I'm a reader, and a writer. I can't remember when I couldn't read, and probably started writing as soon as I could hold a pencil. Most recently, I've become editor of The Internet Review of Books, which you probably haven't heard of, but will soon.
On this site are stories of mine, some published, some not; a few personal essays; a short biography and a truncated resume, and some family history. If you pass by and take a look, please sign the guestbook below, or send an e-mail, and let me know what you think of the place.
